Common sources of noise from HVLS ceiling fans
Time:2024-01-17

Large HVLS fans are a common industrial product widely used in tall spaces such as industrial plants, logistics warehousing, waiting rooms, exhibition halls, gymnasiums, and supermarkets for environmental ventilation and personnel cooling. Industrial large fans can push a large amount of airflow to the ground and form a horizontal movement of airflow layer at a certain height on the ground, thus promoting overall air circulation and conducive to full coverage of wind and three-dimensional circulation of ground air. However, when hvls fans are running, noise is bound to occur. Today, CorTec will summarize some reasons for the noise of large industrial fans.

1. Abnormal sound

Wind noise sounds like pure wind sound, but abnormal noise is different. When a large industrial fan is running, if there are other sounds

besides wind, it can be judged that the industrial fan has abnormal noise. Abnormal noise may be caused by foreign matter or deformation

in the bearing, collision due to improper assembly, or loosening of the motor windings due to uneven winding.

2. Wind noise

When an industrial large fan is running, noise is generated because the blades periodically bear the power of uneven airflow; on the other

hand, due to the uneven distribution of pressure on the fan blade itself and the blade, the disturbance to the surrounding gas and parts during

rotation also constitutes Rotational noise; in addition, turbulent adhesion surfaces, vortices and vortex detachment are generated when the gas

flows through the blades, causing pulsation in the pressure distribution of the blades and producing eddy flow noise. The noise caused by these

three reasons can be comprehensively called "cutting noise". Generally, large industrial fans with large air volume and wind pressure also have large cutting noise.

3. Vibration

Assuming that when the industrial large fan rotor rotates, the physical center of mass of the rotor and the center of inertia of the rotating shaft are not on the same axis,

it will cause imbalance in the rotor. The closest distance between the physical center of mass of the rotor and the center of inertia of the rotating shaft is called

the eccentricity. The unbalanced rotor causes the eccentricity. When the rotor rotates, the centrifugal force generates a force on the rotating shaft bracket to form

vibration, and the vibration is transmitted to the rotating shaft through the base path. All parts of machinery.
